DIESEL MECHANICS - ROCKHAMPTON We currently have permanent positions available for Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Rockhampton and a perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.
About us: BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland.
We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we're never too far away.
The successful candidates will possess the following: Relevant Trade QualificationDiagnostic experienceGood communication skillsHighway truck, truck mounted EWP, truck mounted cranes, field servicing or heavy earthmoving experience a bonusCrane and hydraulic experience10YR rebuild experienceHeavy rigid licenseStrong fault finding skillsAbility to work as part of a teamExtra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageousHigh-Risk license a bonusYour duties will include: Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuildsGeneral Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4'sReplacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systemsChecking vehicle lighting systemsTest driving vehicles to gauge performanceMaintaining detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhering to an inspection procedure checklistWhat we can offer: Attractive hourly rateFull time employment (super, annual leave, sick leave)Mon-FriCompany vehicle for work purposesGenuine career progression opportunities – leading hand, supervisor and management rolesOn-going training and upskilling availableLarge reputable company with a great culture and supportive teamExcellent working conditionsIf you'd like to join the team or simply know more about our positions, then apply today and we'll be in touch to discuss further.
