The Position We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete Labourer with a HR Licence and demo saw experience to work within our Concrete Maintenance & Rip-out crew.
The base location is Bayswater North, with job sites in and around Melbourne, predominantly in the South-East suburbs.
Initially, this will be a casual position with full-time hours of Monday to Friday, leading to permanent full-time for the right person.
Rates are paid in line with, and exceeding the Building & Construction Award (Non-EBA).
What your day to day will look like: Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor on projects;Prepare surfaces for concrete work;Drive crew truck (HR licence) to relocate excavator to multiple job sites throughout the day;Safely load and unload excavator from vehicle trailer;Utilise demo saw safely and efficiently to cut concrete in preparation for excavation;Lay and finish materials where required;Shovel crushed materials in and out of job site as required efficiently;Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and materials to secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards;Maintain tools, equipment, and plant ensuring adequate care, cleanliness, and reporting any damage/defects/hazards;Handle and store materials appropriately;Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of Supervisor/Manager or SHEQ Team member;Ensure correct and adequate signage is installed and maintained.To be considered for this position, you will need: Red or White construction card;1+ year experience in demo saw operating;Knowledge and understanding of OH&S to ensure safety is the top priority;Positive, can-do attitude that works well within a team environment.Other criteria that is highly regarded: Excavator ticket and experience;Ability to take and follow instructions from Supervisors/Crew Leaders/Leading Hands to ensure delivery of jobs/projects to the expected standard including quality and care.Why join Prestige?
