Position Information Leumeah High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school situated on Dharawal Country in South Western Sydney.
Students and staff have a deep respect for the traditional custodians of the land in which they live, learn and work.
The school has an enrolment of 702 students, with around 45% having a language background other than English and an additional 9% being First Nations students.
The school includes a Support Unit named Bundalong, which consists of three Autism Spectrum classes.
The school boasts a broad academic curriculum, with future-focused learning at its core.
As an Apple Distinguished School, all students are equipped with iPads to access innovative teaching and learning programs.

Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria,Demonstrated ability to lead a faculty that incorporates technology and innovation to foster student engagement and high academic expectations and meets the diverse learning needs of all students
Highly developed instructional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead and manage a faculty with diverse experiences focusing on a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and assessment with the ability to analyse student performance data to refine teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
General Selection Criteria 1.
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2.
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3.
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4.
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5.
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6.
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
