About the position: St Peter's College is currently seeking to appoint a Head of Junior School Music, commencing at the start of the 2025 School Year.

The Head of Junior School Music will be responsible for leading the Music Department with vision and promoting and developing its academic and co-curricular reputation.
The role will also provide inspirational leadership to actively encourage and support students and staff in the music program.
The Head of Junior School Music is a middle leadership position with direct responsibility for the management, operation, and administration of the Junior School Music Program (curricular and co-curricular) as well as supporting the Director of Music with Whole School Music.

This role includes a 0.6FTE teaching load that will be determined by the Deputy Headmaster - Head of Junior School.

This is a 5-year tenured leadership position, with a permanent teaching substantive, to commence at the beginning of the 2025 school year.

Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Music and/or Education.
Demonstrated experience working in an academic leadership position.
Professional experience at a high level as a musician.
Have a willingness to support the School's values and Anglican ethos.
Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular program and act as a Mentor in the House pastoral Care Program.
Have a South Australian Teachers Registration and Working with Children Check.
Provide evidence of completed training in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care, and First Aid.
