PEDAGOGY COACH (7-12)
This role attracts a 3 point paid allowance with a mix of teaching, coaching and release.

A focus on Practical Subjects: suits a coordinator wanting to focus on the development of teacher practice not just compliance.

The School Established in 2017 with just 86 students spanning Kindergarten to Year 6, St Luke's at Marsden Park has a reputation for being a pioneering educational community within Catholic Schools, Parramatta Diocese (CSPD).
As a 'next generation Catholic Learning Community,' we are at the forefront of creating the 'new normal' for learning from preschool through post-school.
Our environment is defined by a flexible curriculum that nurtures faith-filled, curious children, empowering them to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers in an ever-changing world.

By 2024, St Luke's has experienced remarkable growth, now enrolling over 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
In addition, our long day centre accommodates 59 children daily, and our specialised high-needs centre, Arrunga, supports 40 students with moderate intellectual disabilities.
The school is broken into three interconnected schools each with its own identity and purpose, but with a connection to the St Luke's College Community.

Role Outline Ultimately responsible to the Principal Leader, a team of pedagogy coaches is accountable to heads of school for co-leading the learning priorities across the Schools of Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
With the skills to lead teachers to transform practice, pedagogy coaches model effective high-yield strategies which enable and support each student's engagement with learning outcomes and St Luke's 6 Pillars of Learning.
This is achieved through the commitment and dedication of the Pedagogy Coach in co-planning, co-teaching, co-debriefing and co-reflecting with teachers as individuals and in both small and large groups.
The Pedagogy Coach:
Collaboratively leads, mentors and coaches teachers to design flexible curriculum and contemporary pedagogies; Takes responsibility to enhance learning outcomes which enhance the social skills and enterprise skills required for a changing world; Builds teacher capacity to provide relevant and authentic student-centred learning; Improves student learning through focused, in-situ teacher professional learning; Effectively uses data to facilitate learning which meets each student at their point of challenge; Ensures alignment with the School Vision.
Requirements of the Role The pedagogy coach will:
Support the Principal in the ministry of leadership, reflecting the mission of the Church by modelling respectful relationships with colleagues, students and families.
Use research and data to think and plan strategically.
Maintain a relational approach to team building through collaboration and critical thinking.
Foster an innovative teacher mindset which supports student-centred learning.
Model highly accomplished teaching using contemporary pedagogy and flexible curriculum design.
Possess high-level communication skills and interpersonal skills including empathy and confidentiality.
Undertake professional learning as a connected educator who contributes to system learning in a global world.
Support teachers in the use of digital technology to enhance learning.
Contribute to a culture which enables imagination, creativity and innovation.
Ensure NESA compliance.
Functions of the Role Lead, mentor and coach teachers, both 'in situ' and during professional learning meetings to provide experiential inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.
