The Firm & The RoleOur client is an international law firm with a corporate/investment funds team that has a first-class reputation both locally and overseas.This firm has a blue-chip client base and this particular team acts for global asset managers, fund managers, hedge funds, venture capitalists, major banks, financial services companies, ASX-Listed companies, off-shore companies, superannuation companies, clients in the infrastructure & energy sector, clients in the retail & manufacturing sector, clients in the real estate and construction sectors, etc.The partner that leads the team is well known in the industry and is often the 'go-to' partner for M&A/Investment Funds work.Due to growth, our client is looking to recruit a talented M&A/Investment Funds Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years pae.A flavour of the work will include:
M&A transactions, private equity and capital raisings/IPOs in the investment funds spaceProduct structuring and developmentDraft fund and corporate documents and all associated documents related to fund establishmentAssist with fund establishment in Australia and structuring, product disclosure and distribution including advice on regulatory and licensing complianceProviding advice in relation to regulatory issues under the Corporations ActDrafting documents such as registered scheme constitutions, trust deeds, co-investment agreements, custodian agreementsProviding advice in relation to Australian Financial Services Licensing (AFSL) requirementsWorking with government and peak industry bodies on policy developmentThere is always a healthy pipeline of work in the team.About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years pae in the area of corporate/investment fundsExcellent technical and advisory skillsAbility to foster strong client relationshipsFirst-class communication and interpersonal skillsAn excellent work ethic and a willingness to exceed client expectationsAbility to work in a high-performing team as well as independentlyAbility to juggle competing prioritiesBenefits & CultureOur client pays generously.
