An amazing number, but we're always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with.The opportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our esteemed neuroscience research team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the preclinical development of therapeutic antibodies through laboratory-based research, focusing on the development and execution of assays to characterize antibody function for various neuroscience-related diseases.This is a lab-based role within the discovery biologics team.How you'll spend your dayWork within an experienced team to develop therapeutic antibodies targeting neuroscience diseasesDesign and perform experiments using mammalian cell lines to assess antibody functionCollaborate across teams to express, purify and characterise antibodiesCollect, analyse, and interpret experimental dataMaintain accurate and detailed laboratory recordsPrepare and maintain laboratory equipment and suppliesParticipate in lab meetings and discussionsEnsure compliance with all institutional and regulatory guidelines for laboratory safety and research ethicsParticipate in general laboratory duties and serve on in-house committeesYour experience and qualificationsBachelor of science with Honours or Masters in life sciences or biotechnology with laboratory experienceProficiency in developing and performing medium-to-high throughput immunoassays or other cell-based assaysExperience in mammalian cell cultureEffective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience in molecular and protein biology techniques, including protein expression and purification would be well regardedExperience or interest in neuroscience or cell biologyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWell-organized and able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneouslyEnjoy a more rewarding choice• Work with a motivated team of scientists in state-of-the-art laboratories• Generous leave, health and wellbeing benefits• Commitment to ongoing personal & professional growth via a blend of learning opportunities• Parking available at our Macquarie Park site• Opportunity to join a leading global organisation with a network of 37,000 employees operating in 60 markets, with 25 R&D sitesMake a difference with Teva PharmaceuticalsPlease submit your CV and a cover letter.Reports ToSenior Research ScientistTeva's Equal Employment Opportunity CommitmentTeva Pharmaceuticals is committed to equal opportunity in employment.
