Construction Manager

Based in NSW (with some travel), we are seeking a highly skilled individual with real and practical experience to directly manage multiple staff, work crews, and equipment for the:Construction of drainage, water, and wastewater utilities using trenchless techniques in particular microtunnellingConstruction of drainage, water, and wastewater utilities using conventional open trench methodsConstruction of detailed shaft excavations up to 30m deep using varying techniques such as in-situ or segment caissons, secant piling, sheet piling or shotcrete/boltConstruction of complex permanent GRP or concrete structures.We are a utilities infrastructure specialist, having successfully operated for over 35 years and have a strong reputation with a wide-ranging clientele base throughout Australia. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to make it their own and play a large part in the future direction of the company, with several upcoming major projects. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager East and is a critical component of the company's success.Requirements for the role:Bachelor of Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering degree (desired); orA highly skilled Senior Project Manager or Construction Superintendent with the requisite experienceMinimum 10 years experience in these same rolesAbilities/Skills:Effective verbal and written communicationDeveloping and maintaining positive employee experiencesMentoring, motivating, and leading staff to build strong project teamsDriving teams to achieve outstanding resultsFacilitating growth with the Operations ManagerSupervising, scheduling, and coordinating resources with PMsOverseeing and leading multiple construction activitiesOverseeing and managing multiple subcontractorsMonitoring individual and overall construction progressDeveloping, innovating or leading work methodologies and/or designConstruction planning ensuring projects remain on program and budget whilst achieving safe, environmentally friendly and quality outcomesContributing to budget preparation and reporting, and report to senior management on project progress and corrective actionsEnsuring all construction work complies with company SHEQ standards, contract specifications, and general legislative requirementsEffectively participating and assisting bid teams with work methodologies and construction techniquesIdentifying and proposing appropriate resourcing, production rates, innovations, and work methodologies for preparation of bidsLiaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers and maintaining high ethical standards when representing the organisation in discussionsEnsuring client satisfaction, and remaining informed about competitors' operationsStrong desire to drive business to the next levelRight to live and work in AustraliaAbility to travelBe rewarded with our generous employee referral bonus programAttractive remuneration package commensurate with experienceCareer development and training opportunitiesBe part of a Global Construction GroupGroup Employee share programGroup Life InsuranceThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and a criminal history check.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds.Sound like you?
