Plant Mechanic

Location : Western Sydney About the Position We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Plant Mechanic / Diesel fitter to join our team in Western Sydney.
As an essential member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plant, machinery, and equipment, with a strong emphasis on CAT machines, which are central to our operations.
This is a hands-on role where your skills and experience in the civil construction sector will ensure our machinery runs at optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a range of plant and equipment, including rollers, diggers, and excavators, with a focus on CAT machinery.
Act on work orders and verbal instructions to inspect, assess, and test machinery.
Interpret work orders, technical diagrams, manuals, and specifications to ensure effective repairs and service.
Ensure all service and maintenance work is completed in line with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Work collaboratively with site teams to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
Use PPE as required and maintain compliance with safety standards at all times.
Qualification and Experience 5+ years of experience working as a Plant Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter, specifically in civil construction.
Extensive experience working on CAT machinery (e.g., rollers, excavators, diggers) is essential.
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or Hydraulics (or equivalent experience).
Valid Driver's Licence .
Relevant high-risk tickets (EWP, forklift, etc.)
and a valid White Card .
Ability to interpret and apply technical plans, diagrams, and manuals.
Full Australian work rights and the ability to travel when required.
