This involves managing the support and administration of GIS platforms, services, and products and curating and managing daily support and management needs.In this role you will:Administer user access and licence management to GIS systems ensuring appropriate product selection, permissions and security measures are in place including monitoring of user activity for ongoing maintenance of GIS systems.Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, FME and other spatial products and services.Lead projects to maintain and improve geospatial capabilities and solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the requirements and objectives, develop strategies, support users or teams with geospatial systems and solutions and plans for the implementation and maintenance of GIS systems.Administer software upgrades in coordination with various stakeholders across the business.Contribute to the agency's geospatial capability strategies and capability improvement planning.Assist the Spatial Platforms Manager in the leadership and management for GIS technical capabilities for the agency.Provide specialist expertise and guide the direction of current and future technology and software for GIS and supporting technologies.Maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.To be successful in the role you will:A strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data management, and relevant software tools is essential and should be proficient in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting GIS systems.Demonstrated experience and competency with ESRI Enterprise technology as well as open-source products.Provide technical expertise and support to ensure the reliability, security and scalability of GIS platforms and cloud infrastructure.A strategic mindset, capable of aligning GIS initiatives with organisational goals and priorities, anticipating future needs and trends in GIS technology.Required skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualificationsTertiary or professional qualifications in digital, ICT, or geospatial technologies, or equivalent experience.Experience in ESRI technologies which include ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and other associated spatial products and services.Understanding of spatial databases and data management techniques and data formats.Have exceptional problem-solving skills to arrive at system solutions and project improvements.Maintain a mindset that focuses on future possibilities by challenging old ways of working and putting forward suggestions and new ideas.Previous experience in a GIS role is essential.Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. Jira) and/or experience with ITIL or other IT change management methodologies.To ApplyPlease visit the careers page of our website to submit your application via our e-Recruit system.
