Salary: $28.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 to 48 hours per week

Responsibilities: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systemsInspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctionsAdjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systemsAdjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systemsRepair or replace mechanical units or componentsTest and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specificationsEstimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairsPerform scheduled maintenance serviceTest and adjust units to specificationsAdvise customers on work performed and future repair requirementsComplete reports to record problems and work performedCoach and instruct apprenticesProvide customer serviceCredentials: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade CertificationTruck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal EndorsementExperience and Specialization: 4-wheel driveElectrical and electronic systemAlignment, steering and suspensionBrake systemHydraulic systemFuel and emission systemIgnition and electrical systemAutomatic transmissionStandard transmissionEngine repair and overhaulFront end componentsHeating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systemAdditional Information: Security and Safety: Criminal record checkWork Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environmentHand-eye coordinationOvertime requiredStanding for extended periodsOwn Tools / Equipment: ToolsSteel-toed safety bootsPersonal Suitability: FlexibilityReliabilityWho Can Apply to This Job?
