Principal Electrical Engineer

THE ROLE As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide highly technical leadership and expertise to guide junior engineers in project work, designs, and technical problem-solving.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout project lifecyclesConduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements and propose innovative solutionsStay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to enhance our services and offeringsEnsure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide regular updates on project progressABOUT YOU You will be a highly skilled and motivated engineer, with a proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for business development and introducing new market trends and innovations.
As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Electrical Engineering Degree (Australian Accredited)RPEQ/V qualified (or the ability to obtain in first 12 months)Expertise in Power SystemsProficiency in software packages such as SKM PTW, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSSE (ADVANTAGE)Extensive experience in developing reports, specifications, and technical papers in a professional engineering environmentStrong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to guide and support junior engineers in project work, designs, and technical problem-solving.In-depth knowledge of International Standards, Australian Standards, and relevant legislative requirements.BENEFITS AND CULTURE My client is committed to their core values which form the foundation of their culture, where staff retention, customer satisfaction, and high-profile clients are their hallmarks.
