Senior Ecologist – Field Work Focus

Pay is $110,000 – $140,000 + Super Field bonus is 2 hrs extra pay per day out in the field – very lucrative $105 – $135 extra per day. If you're a Senior Ecologist who enjoys fieldwork, then this is your new position
With 2 weeks at a time in the field just outside of Brisbane (+ $105 – $135 extra per day in Field Bonuses), you'll manage a diverse array of field-based projects.
Project Examples: 5-year implementation program to establish and carry out research for a locally endangered bird, including long-term monitoring program, managing offset site, management and rehabilitation sites. Offsets and impact assessments through to rehabilitation and mitigation stage – including long-term monitoring. Wind farming – offsets and management plans – bird and bat utilisation surveys. Transport and main roads projects – upgrades and more local work. Rehabilitation program compliance monitoring (this particular project has complicated logistics & safety requirements ecologists are not normally exposed to). Lifestyle / Balance: This consultancy offers a good work-from-home balance for its senior staff with 2 days per week working from home.
Graduates are full-time in the office to maximise development.
Flexibility increases the more senior you become.
Many staff work from the office more regularly as they enjoy the social aspect and the people they work with.
They support work-from-home arrangements, integrated phones, teams, and Surface Pros to connect everyone.
Socially, you can expect events like golf, Christmas parties, after-work drinks, and more.
