You will also enjoy the satisfaction of giving students from diverse backgrounds the skills they need to succeed at work and in their future.The Role:We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Electrical Educational Delivery team at TAFE Queensland's Eagle Farm Campus.As a TAFE Teacher in Electrical, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually)Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparationPaid overtime arrangements may be available, according to operational requirements, with generous compensationFlexible work options (e.g.

Adobe and Microsoft software)Annual staff recognition awards and years of service recognitionPride Network for LGBTQIA+ employees and alliesMandatory Requirements:Applicants must possess UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, or equivalent, and the following:Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher, you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education.
Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering.
Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
