Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist - Senior An exciting opportunity exists for a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist - Senior (ROMP) who will provide a high level of scientific and technological expertise for the delivery of safe and accurate Radiation Oncology (RO) treatments in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health goals.
This is an exciting time to be a part of the development of the RO department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH).

We are seeking a ACPSEM registered ROMP who will integrate into the existing operational structure and be capable of working across the Quality Assurance (QA) & Dosimetry and Treatment Planning portfolios.
The department has 3 matched Elekta Versa HD linacs, Brainlab Dynamic, Monaco treatment planning system (TPS) and Mosaiq record and verify (R&V) system.
The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist – Senior requires low levels of supervision, provides training to registrars, new staff members and other professional groups within the RO department.
Key Responsibilities include: Display a high level of knowledge of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics. Display a high level of independence in decision making and professional judgement for the planning of non-routine radiation treatments. Apply independent judgment to routine clinical practices in line with scientific principles. Remuneration value up to $212,867 p.a., comprising salary between $173,377 - $186,568 p.a.
Medical Physicist Attraction and Retention Incentive payment Included, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
Permanent Full-time, 76 hrs p.f.
or part-time position, hours negotiable.
