Reporting into the Coordinator Community Child Health, this key leadership role will be vital to ensuring the success of the team in providing service excellence whilst ensuring the service delivery meets the needs of the community and offers best value for Council.
The role of Team Leader Maternal and Child Health Planning will see you assume responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of a team of graduates, students, and a small team of MCH nurses, together with the planning, administration, and rostering needs of the Universal Maternal and Child Health service.
This role also has responsibility for the service including annual planning, reporting, financial management, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include: In partnership with the Team Leader MCH Operations, directly lead and manage the Universal Maternal and Child Health team.Establish relationships with stakeholders and maintain a professional development network with a continuous improvement focus.With the leadership team, participate in advocacy and planning to help develop appropriate child and family services and facilities in the City of Hobsons Bay.Ensure that sufficient casual relieving staff are available to cover staff absences.Monitor workloads and service demand to maintain appropriate levels of service provision.A strong leader and relationship builder, you will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining productive partnerships and collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a nursing qualification and registration for General Nursing, Midwifery, and Maternal & Child Health Nursing, coupled with strong knowledge and experience in developing primary health services for families and children.
