Fintech Services is looking for an information and technology leader that can uplift our platform and engage the team as part of executing a clear strategy in the Australian credit industry.We are an established leader in the near-prime credit segment we are in scale-up mode and needing to ensure that our technology supports this.This a great opportunity to apply your leadership in developing and delivering the technology road map that aligns with the business strategy and empowers our customers.About the Company & RoleFinTech Services Australia is part of the SkyCredit Group - a Perth based Australian consumer credit provider that delivers services and products via "…innovation, technology & services that add value to the lives of our customers".The Group, originally founded as Fair Go Finance in 2008, has maintained a consistent growth trajectory and recently completed the acquisition of Nimble making it one of the leading consumer lenders in Australia. Hence, the CITO works alongside the CEO and CFO to put the "tech" into "fintech" and leads a 30 person technology team comprising of software development / QA, Data & Analytics and Programme Delivery.As such a sample day in the life of the "CITO" involves:Discussing the industry, market and scenarios with the founder / CEO / CFO and strategy analysts as part of business planning and opportunity assessment.Working on projects as a sponsor or supplier to evolve the business capabilities in line with plans or to adapt to market events as they occur.Leading, mentoring & empowering a talented team to ensure they are engaged and prepared for the journey to deliver on the vision.Collaborating with colleagues, suppliers, or users to ensure we continue to deliver on our brand promise and strategic objectives.Researching technology and data trends to ensure we are leveraging opportunities and responding to threats.Importantly, celebrating wins and milestones along the wayResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.Lead the technology team, providing mentorship, recruiting, and fostering a culture of innovation.Oversee all technology operations, including infrastructure, applications, data and analytics, and cybersecurity.Lead digital transformation initiatives and drive technological innovation across the organization.Collaborate with the broader leadership team to identify opportunities and integrate technology into business thinking, processes and decision-making, managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Oversee the design and optimisation of the organisation's IT architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.Identify and mitigate risks related to technology, ensuring the organisation is prepared for potential IT-related disruptions.About YouTo enjoy working at FSA, and given we are in scale-up phase, you will value collaborating with colleagues and regularly delivering towards agreed milestones. As such this role is suited for:an experienced leader that has done something similar in the past; orsomeone stepping up who has a track record of collating information and progressing work across multiple streams.Experience:10+ years of experience in senior roles in one or more of data / information / technology and software development domains.Leadership experience that shows a track record of developing a vision, roadmap and people suitable for a growth environment and with consideration of priorities and budgets.Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, AI, and cybersecurity.Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and industry regulations and standards.Vendor and supplier management so that there is high performance in terms of work delivered both internally and externally.Some "nice to haves" would be:Work with MS suite of products including AI/ML, cloud architecture, microservices, .NET/Core (C#) and Azure environments.Experience in the fintech / consumer credit and / or insurance sectors.Working with Jira and Atlassian tools to coordinate on delivering of activities.Strategic thinking that brings together the company's capabilities and strategic advantages to win in the market.People Management & leadership capability; leads by example, fosters trust, and is aligned with the company's vision and values.Delivery Management demonstrated success in driving business outcomes through partnerships with key stakeholders, leveraging collaborative teams and ensuring accountability for goals and objectives.Communication skills that give the ability to share information to technical and non-technical audiences from Boards to Team Members.QualificationsAs a growth orientated organisation, ongoing learning and development is valued and should be illustrated through your own career.It would be expected that the CITO would have some combination of the following:Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar / related field.Business / commercial education or training e.g. MBA.Continuous improvement qualifications e.g. Lean / Six Sigma, ITIL or other process improvement qualification.Project / Program Management (e.g. Agile / scrum, PMP) qualified or similar through on-the-job training / experience.Technical / role specific qualifications e.g. data analysis (Excel, SQL), software, architecture related qualifications.If this sounds like the right next step for your career Apply here to come and join our team for free in-house coffees whilst overlooking the Swan River and the Terrace views
