The Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments including Confirmation step (PCR and Maldi-TOF Techniques).
Reporting to the Team Leader, this role will have the following responsibilities:
Out of Specification Investigation and reporting.Method review and Internal Audits.Calibration of equipment and other Quality checks for Food Laboratory.Weekend testing support for confirmation and testing Food samples.Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Science or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience.At least 3-5 years' experience in NATA accredited commercial laboratory.
Experience in PCR/results reading & confirmation.
NATA signatory will be an added advantage.Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques.Experience using a laboratory LIMS system.Technical knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline.Strong knowledge of NATA requirement for ISO 17025.Note: All candidate CV's and cover letters will be reviewed; however, we are not always able to respond to every expression of interest submitted.
