This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Head Chef with a passion for creating bold flavours, rich spices, and diverse culinary traditions to join our team.Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen brigade at Shane's new restaurant at the Thomas Dixon Centre.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the Executive Chef and the Delia Group to develop high-quality restaurant, café, and functions menus.Manage the planning, preparation, and service of high-quality premium restaurant food.Manage the purchasing of food products for the restaurant and liaise with suppliers about seasonal products and food availability.Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and meet the highest quality standards.Oversee the daily food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processes in the restaurant.Lead the kitchen brigade, providing development opportunities and planning for succession.Manage the rostering of permanent and casual back-of-house restaurant staff.Drive quality improvement and quantity control of all food in line with the Menu management system.Use the company Menu management system to develop and maintain recipes and menus and to project food costs, forecast sales mix, and gross profit expectations.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, we expect you to bring:Ability to lead a large kitchen team.Creative drive to produce quality dishes and menus.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal, and organisational skills.Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.Upon commencement of employment, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to Melbourne, at the Company's expense, for up to 4 weeks for full training with the Delia Group.In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, a customer focus, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours across a 7-day roster (including evening and weekend work), and a positive 'can do' attitude are required to successfully undertake this position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
