Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Manager - Regulatory Reporting and Systems Transformation will play a significant role in supporting the University's compliance with regulatory reporting requirements as well as the implementation of strategic system transformation initiatives.
One of the key projects that the role will support relates to the implementation of the University's roadmap to comply with the mandatory disclosure of climate-related information and sustainability in general.
This position will work collaboratively with various divisions, sustainability working groups, boards and steering committees to collate, analyse and consolidate information relating to the University's Environmental Sustainability Governance strategy, climate risks and opportunities, governance and metrics and targets that will form the basis of the climate-related disclosures in the annual reports.
Responsibilities:
Lead project management for implementing mandatory reporting requirements, including developing governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Facilitate collaboration between the ESG Reporting Advisory Group and various University sustainability bodies to define and implement ESG strategy, governance, risk management, and reporting requirements.
Consolidate and report ESG data, including metrics and targets, for internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the annual report.
Manage continuous improvement of annual reporting processes, aligning with the new NSW reporting framework.
Coordinate system transformation initiatives linked to the Business Optimisation Strategy (BOS) Program, including the SIMS upgrade.
Advise on integrating ESG considerations into decision-making, risk assessments, and governance frameworks.
Oversee mandatory financial disclosures for the Chief Finance Officer and Director of Financial Control and Compliance, ensuring compliance for the annual report.
Stay updated on regulatory reporting trends and frameworks to enhance the University's reporting practices.
Organise workshops with subject matter specialists to assess ESG materiality, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Provide governance support to the ESG Reporting Advisory Group, including facilitating meetings and managing communications.

Skills and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in management or a specialist field.
Advanced project management experience, including strategic planning and project documentation.
Strong consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to developing solutions.

Successful experience working with people at various levels within an organisation.
Knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation, and financial procedures.
Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience supporting committees and providing strategic advice and planning to senior management.
