APS4 equivalent $43+p/h + super Located in Brisbane, Queensland About the Team The Legal Services team provides legal advice, support, and services to the Agency by understanding key legislation and policies to enable positive outcomes for participants.
We deliver practical and solution-focused advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, administrative, and government legal issues, acting as a single point of contact for legal matters.
Our team plays a vital role in identifying and mitigating legal risks, ensuring that our work supports the Agency's objectives.
About the Role As an APS4 Privacy Assistant, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering operational and administrative support to help safeguard participant privacy and manage incidents.
Working with defined policies, principles, and procedures, you'll contribute to achieving our Agency's goals.
Remediate a variety of privacy complaints and incidents promptly and effectively.
Ensure accurate and thorough recordkeeping for all cases.
Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Undertake ad-hoc projects that contribute to the privacy function.
Foster positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and key internal and external stakeholders.
Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and tools within the Privacy team.
Contribute to building team expertise by sharing knowledge and supporting professional standards across the Agency.
About you To thrive in this role, you need: Attention to Detail: Accuracy and diligence in recordkeeping and documentation.
Proficient with ICT Systems: Experience working with relevant software and privacy tools.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with clients and team members.
Networking and Relationship Building: Skilled in developing and maintaining positive relationships within the Agency.
Adaptability: Quick to adjust to changes within the team and the wider environment.
Time Management: Efficient at organising and prioritising workload.
Knowledge of the Privacy Act: Familiarity with or an understanding of the Privacy Act and its application in a legal context.
Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an Australian Citizen.
