As a Clinical Psychologist at headspace, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Your key deliverables will include:
Providing short to medium term counselling using evidence-based therapies such as Single Session Therapy, DBT, and CBTActively working with young people to facilitate their recovery and development goalsConducting risk assessments and safety planning to address issues related to family violence, mental health, and substance misuseAt the heart of our approach is collaboration, and we're looking for a passionate Clinical Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will engage in prompt, collaborative communication with referring doctors and specialists, working together to ensure the best patient outcomes.
You will stay at the forefront of clinical practice by utilizing the latest evidence to inform your therapeutic interventions.
Your expertise will also contribute to regular clinical case reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings, helping to shape effective clinical service pathways and enhance service delivery.
In addition, you will be responsible for conducting psychometric testing for ADHD and ASD, interpreting results, and producing detailed reports.

This position is based in Port Macquarie, on the traditional lands of the Birpai People (Birpai Nation).

Full registration as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRAMinimum of 2 years' experience working as a fully registered Clinical PsychologistA deep understanding of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice, including CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, or IPTExperience in the provision of mental health care, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term treatment interventionsCertification in DBT and CBTAdditionally, your highly developed communication skills will enable you to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and build vibrant partnerships with a range of people.
