This role offers the opportunity to carry out cutting-edge research at the intersection of computer vision, natural language processing, perception, reasoning, and autonomous systems. The successful candidate will work directly with Dr Feras Dayoub to publish high-impact research and develop innovative AI solutions.The tasks of the postdoctoral researcher will include:Conduct world-class research in multimodal perception and reasoning for autonomous systems.Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals in AI, machine learning, and related fields.Mentor junior researchers and PhD students working on related projects within the partnership.Outputs will include:A functional robotic system capable of performing complex tasks in dynamic environments, demonstrated through real-world deployments.Periodic technical reports and presentations to AIML and MITRE documenting the developed algorithms and system performance.To be successful you will need:PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field.Strong background in multimodal learning, robotic vision, or natural language processing.Proven track record of research excellence, evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences or journals.Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world settings.Preference will be given to Australian citizens or permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.Enjoy an outstanding career environmentAIML is Australia's leading research institute in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
