Location ProfileGlenroy College is located in Glenroy 20 minutes from the CBD on the corner of Glenroy and Cardinal Roads. It has easy access to public transport centred between Glenroy and Fawkner Train Stations.
The diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds of the 460 students enrolled at the College are drawn from the surrounding areas. In 2020, the College confirmed a significant increase in enrolments, testament to the strategic changes that have been implemented over the past 3 years which have created a positive perception of the College in the community.

Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
RoleThe primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
