About the role
We are looking for an innovative Head of Enterprise Applications to lead our team in delivering exceptional technology solutions that drive our business objectives.
In this strategic role, you will oversee our core banking systems and applications, ensuring they operate seamlessly and enhance customer satisfaction.
Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping our application portfolio to meet evolving business needs.
As a key member of the senior IT leadership team, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of our enterprise-wide IT strategy.
You will be responsible for aligning our applications with organizational goals, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our technology initiatives deliver maximum business value.
Your strategic vision will help position our organization for future growth and success.
In this position, you will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, supporting your team's professional development while driving efficiency and innovation.
By implementing best practices in governance, risk management, and vendor relationships, you will ensure that our enterprise applications meet the highest standards of performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Set the mission, vision, and strategy for the Enterprise Applications organisation to maximize business and IT success.
Budget Management : Develop and control the annual Enterprise Applications budget, promoting a culture of continuous cost optimisation.
Vendor Management : Serve as the primary relationship manager for all vendors/suppliers, ensuring effective governance and collaboration.
Application Oversight : Provide leadership for the development, maintenance, and support of core banking applications, aligning with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement effective risk management processes.
Team Development : Mentor and support team members in their career progression, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Performance Evaluation : Continuously assess the business value of Enterprise Applications using Key Performance Indicators and other metrics.
Collaboration : Work closely with senior IT leadership to contribute to the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with a strong background in IT and enterprise applications in a heavily regulated industry, strong preference for financial services.
A deep understanding of the banking sector's regulatory landscape complements your leadership experience.
You excel at managing relationships with stakeholders and vendors while advocating for continuous improvement and innovation within your team.
Skills and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years in IT or business/industry, with 3+ years in leadership roles focusing on strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, ITIL, DevOps, and experience in risk management and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record in team management, budget planning, and financial management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively convey strategy and updates to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
