About UsChildren's Health Queensland is a specialist statewide hospital and health service dedicated to caring for children and young people from across Queensland and northern New South Wales.We are committed to collaborating with all of our healthcare partners, most importantly families, to ensure we consistently deliver safe, high-quality patient and family-centred care.A recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, education and research, Children's Health Queensland delivers a full range of clinical services, tertiary level care and health promotion programs.We provide an integrated network of services through:The Queensland Children's HospitalThe Child and Youth Community Health ServiceThe Child and Youth Mental Health ServiceStatewide services and programs, including specialist outreach and telehealth servicesPartnerships with other hospital and health services and non-government organisationsChildren's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.Your Opportunity:The position of Research Assistant will work collaboratively with clinician researchers within the Queensland Children's Gender Service, Child & Youth Mental Health Service, Chief Investigators of QCGS research activities and QCGS' research partners within the Australian Research Consortium for Trans Youth and Children (ARCTYC).Facilitate QCGS aims of delivering excellence through evidence-based clinical practice and translational research by establishing and maintaining existing research data management systems.Build ongoing, two-way relationships with consumers advising on research relating to people with a lived Trans experience, thereby giving voice to consumer priorities, supporting research co-design and dissemination. This engagement will ensure consumers with unique experiences arising at the intersection of multiple axis of oppression are supported to engage, such as Brotherboys and Sistergirls, trans youth and families from culturally diverse backgrounds, neurodivergent trans youth and those living in regional and rural communities.Be responsible for developing, providing and maintaining efficient, effective, ethical and confidential research administrative coordination of QCGS Research projects.What CHQ HHS can offer:Apart from contributing to the development of Australia's best paediatric health service, you will also benefit from a competitive remuneration package and a working environment which embraces professional development, builds capabilities, and supports staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
