HumanAbility is a not-for-profit, industry owned and led organisation that is contracted by the federal government.
It was established as a Jobs and Skills Council for the health, human services, aged care and disability, sport & recreation and early childhood industries to fulfil the requirements of the Jobs & Skills Councils – Strengthening Australia's National Vocational Education and Training System program.
HumanAbility's objective is to advance education by supporting skills and workforce development for the above specified industries.

We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join us on a full-time basis in an ongoing capacity subject to funding (currently funded until mid-2026).
The role may be located anywhere in Australia and will involve travel with overnight stays for organisation meetings, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and industry events.
About the Position As a Data Analyst at HumanAbility, you will contribute to our mission to enhance the vocational education and training system to support workforce development in our sectors.
Your responsibilities will include leading and contributing to projects that require data collection, analysis, predictive modelling, data visualization and preparing easily understandable and informative reports that provide insights that support informed decision-making and program development.
Key Accountabilities Data Collection and Analysis Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.Clean, detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.Data Visualization and Reporting Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support stakeholder engagement, informed decision-making and to underpin collaborative projects.Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting key findings and trends.Communicate data insights effectively to support decision-making.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data collection, data analysis, and project management.Foster relationships with stakeholders that hold data sets, to support collaboration on projects, gather insights and share research outcomes.Other Observe and follow work health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Applied Economics or comparable discipline.Proven experience in data analysis, data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data analysis languages.Experience in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard creation.High-level problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce accurate, easy-to-read, and insightful reports and advice.Proven record of working effectively, both independently and as a collaborative team member.Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in at least one of: the national skills system, VET, public policy, working in a not-for-profit organisation, the health, human services, sport & recreation or early childhood education industry sectors, is desirable.Experience in working with or using customer journey mapping, design thinking and other behavioural insights or human centred design is desirable.Interested?
