This teaching-only position is designed to help deliver the full Media and Communication curriculum.
The successful applicant will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the Media and Communication curriculum, including teaching core subjects in the Bachelor of Media and Communication degree as well as core subjects in the Journalism and/or Sports Journalism majors.
Some of your duties will include:
Provide a high-quality learning experience that engages students through the conduct of lectures, tutorials and practical classes in online, blended or face-to-face modes.Provide constructive, fair and timely feedback on learning and assessment to students.Coordinate and contribute to the teaching of subjects like JRN1TIN – The Interview and JRN3ISC – Introduction to Sports Commentary.Skills & Experience PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.Demonstrated professional experience in journalism and sports journalism practice.Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast and sports journalism industries.Demonstrated capacity to mark undergraduate level assessment tasks in the field of Media and Communication.How to apply Please note: This opportunity is open only to applicants who hold the full rights to work in Australia and must be an Australian citizen.
