HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons' mental health.About the roleReporting to the National Manager – Property Services, you'll play an important role in ensuring that our buildings and grounds are professionally maintained in a timely and effective manner.
With a combination of hands-on work and contractor management, you will be responsible for reporting on budgets, while recording maintenance activities accurately.This is a permanent full-role role based at HammondCare's Independent Living Units at Miranda.Key Responsibilities includeEnsuring a safe environment exists for staff, residents, clients, volunteers and visitors by ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, adhering to policies and procedures and documentation meets accreditation standardsManaging contractors including scheduling, inductions, ensuring service agreement in place and liaising with Service ManagerContributing to the development of the Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring work requests are responded to competently and within agreed timeframes.Documenting of works performed is completed accurately and efficiently.Attending mandatory and non-mandatory training and apply this learning to improve service delivery and comply with Industry requirements.Managing un-scheduled events and respond proactively.Communicating with Management and other staffEnsuring Maintenance budget is monitored and managedAbout YouCommitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.A trade qualification relevant to the Construction or Facility Maintenance industriesA minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar fieldA valid NSW White card and Drivers LicenceDemonstrated ability to effectively manage complex and competing prioritiesDemonstrated experience in applying initiative and creative problem-solving on the jobIntermediate MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)Attention to detail in data entry managementBenefitsWe care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:Fitness Passports; Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.Discounts across a range of household names such as JB HI- FIOption to purchase up to 2 weeks additional annual leave14 weeks Paid Parental LeaveLearning and development opportunitiesTo ApplyIf you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now
