The focus of the role will be in managing costs and improving efficiencies while maintaining a high level of customer service, analysing data and identifying concerns and areas for improvement, continuously looking at ways to innovate.Your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Plan and supervise daily deliveries for a fleet of approximately 40 driversMaintain a solid relationship with all our driversEnsure all drivers sort and load in a timely and safe manner to ensure a prompt departureMonitor overall driver performance and ensure compliance of all policies and proceduresManage new driver induction process, ongoing training and assessmentRespond to daily transport enquiries from internal teams and customers in an efficient and effective mannerProactively identify transport operational issues, potential problems and opportunities, and determine corrective actions where requiredBuild and foster successful business relationships with key stakeholdersPre-empt seasonal increases in volume and adapt to sudden spikesBe able to implement change with limited disruptionMonitor transport budget to ensure costs are effectively controlledReport on transport division activities and results for Management reporting purposesEnsure drivers comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures with a safety first mindsetThis role is Monday to Friday, 4:00am - 12:00pm, however flexibility is required.More about youTo be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of store people in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast moving products at high volume.You will display the following attributes:A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Transport industryDemonstrated experience in fleet management and transport allocation in a high-volume and fast paced customer service environmentStrong awareness of Safety and Fatigue ManagementExtensive knowledge of Sydney metro areaA current Forklift licence is not essential but highly preferableMore about COSWhen you join COS you'll be working for a growing business servicing many of Australia's most well recognised companies and government agencies.You'll be part of a socially responsible organisation who provides equal employment opportunities to a talented and diverse team of passionate people.You will be joining a talented team that live and breathe our 6 core values - Passionate, Results Driven, Innovative, Self Reflective, Family and Service Excellence.At COS, we work together to find smarter ways to deliver on our Company Purpose: Keep Australian Workers Healthy, Safe and Productive.We are passionate about maintaining a business culture that focuses on professionalism with heart.Through the success of our business, COS has been proud to give back over $20 million to the community through the Lyone Foundation.Each year through the Lyone Foundation, COS supports Australian charities who are focused on human welfare and are underfunded.Founded in Australia 45 years ago, today with over 600 employees located across every State of Australia, COS are leaders in our industry, and we're ready to welcome you on-boardHow to ApplyPlease follow the instructions on the application page regarding your Work History, Education and Qualifications.
