Programmed Training Services specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees with our clients and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training.
Programmed, in partnership with Atlas Copco Compressors have a unique opportunity for a 3rd or 4th Year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice in Gladstone.
This position would suit an Apprentice who is in their 3rd of 4th Year of Engineering - Mechanical Fitting.

As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain on and off the job experience with one of our major customers Atlas Copco Compressors - providing compressed air solutions; industrial compressors, gas and process compressors and expanders, air and gas treatment equipment, and air management systems.
Benefits: Full time, above award wages Nationally Recognised Qualification Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade Working with a team focused on your well-being and safety Career support and pathway opportunities Learn from experienced tradespersons within the industry Ongoing coaching, support for career growth and development through mentorship and structured training opportunities An industry-leading wage package including superannuation, annual leave, sick leave and carer's leave About your new role: Follow principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment Examine and review detailed drawings or specifications Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment Operate machines to produce parts or tools Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing parts Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies What we are looking for:: A keen interest in the mechanical industry Motivation and a willingness to learn Team player with a positive attitude Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Strong communication skills Commitment to a long-term career with Atlas Copco Compressors A current driver's license as you may be supplied a company vehicle Location: Whilst the Apprenticeship is based in Gladstone, you will be required to work anywhere in the region to gain the full trade experience during your apprenticeship.
This may include working away on projects if the business requires so you must be flexible to the requirements of the role.
Applicants must live in the Gladstone region.
Prior to offer of employment the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination 'fit for work' (including passing a drug and alcohol screen).
