Foreperson Painter, Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public WorksMount Isa, AUHousing, Local Government, Planning and Public WorksQBuild, Queensland Government's builder is seeking passionate and driven individuals to effectively manage field staff and contractors, along with the coordination of project planning and delivery activities in order to meet quality and value-for-money expectations of clients.About the roleYou will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by assisting Senior Supervisors and Supervisors in managing and coordinating delivery of maintenance and construction activities, to maximise project profitability and ensure client satisfaction.Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring QBuild meets quality and value-for-money expectations of clients.Key responsibilities:Managing and coordinating the physical, financial and human resources in a small- to medium-sized depot.Ensuring a healthy and safe work environment is maintained on worksites, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles.Undertaking Workplace Health and Safety audits of contractors to ensure compliance with QBuild's Safety Management System and associated Key Performance Indicators.Assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision of field staff and subcontractors and through the application of legislation, regulations, practices and policies related to the building construction, maintenance and engineering industries.Providing a level of supervisory services and contract administration in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild.Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, to ensure product and service delivery meet agreed outcomes.Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff, creating a positive working environment that promotes equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.Required Skills and Experience:Possession of a current, valid trade qualification.Possession of a current, valid Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction card.Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of stakeholders in an ever-changing and often challenging environment.Why work for QBuild?Flexibility - You'll have access to generous leave entitlements and flexible work options.A safe, inclusive and diverse workplace - Our approach to safety is reflected in our commitment to Think safe.
