This newly created position is the result of an increase in contract administration activity post-merger with Karora Resources.Reporting into the General Manager of Commercial, the Senior Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in working with the commercial team to ensure contracts are established and administered in accordance with procedures, systems and Westgold standards.About the opportunityUse leading contract administration practices to tender, negotiate and award goods and services contracts with a focus on contract value in consideration of price, quality and risk management.Continue to develop and maintain the group contract database.Research and develop knowledge of suppliers currently not in the Westgold supplier list that may be included in future tenders for goods and services.Contracts EOM processing.Contracts tendering/bid management/evaluation.Recommendation for award coordination.Contract handover execution plan.Contract template review for relevance.Contracted supplier performance meetings (as invited).The role includesExperience in administering group consolidated tenders for commodities and services.Extensive experience in a commodity/service tendering and contract execution environment.Proven and extensive experience in negotiation.Previous on-site experience (desirable).Ability to influence at all levels.Good understanding and working knowledge of contract law, contract structure and terminology.Ability to draft and evaluate commercial contracts using approved company templates.Advanced project management skills (as applied to bid management).Excellent communication skills including report writing and verbal communication.Proven attention to detail and ability to analyse and resolve problems.Resilient and self-managing with the ability to work autonomously.Collaborative approach driving business results.What do I need?Diploma in Business Management.Certificate in Supply Chain Management.Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management.The Westgold Offer:A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer.Performance based bonus.Site Allowance (if applicable).Group salary continuous insurance.A health and wellness allowance.A range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption.5 years' pro rata long service leave.Salary sacrifice options.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes free confidential counselling, wellbeing services that includes financial advice.Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by Work 180 can be seen on the Work180 website.We appreciate that not everybody will tick every box for their next dream role but if you believe that you can bring the passion and drive to contribute to our operations, we encourage you to apply.Westgold is driven by our core values of Show Respect, Choose Safety and Deliver Value.
