Elevate your career in an environment where your ideas matter, your growth is nurtured, and your potential is limitless.The Engineering Team Lead - Onboarding will lead the engineering team and their practices in the delivery of our KYC and Onboarding platform and underlying onboarding capability. They will design the solution and be a champion for the incremental delivery of the work, mentoring and developing the team along the way.They will manage their team independently, communicating context, timeline, scope to their team and other stakeholders, to deliver initiatives on time.Additionally, as an Engineering Team lead, they will play a critical role in shaping and positively influencing the Engineering function at Pepperstone driving Engineering best practices.As our Engineer Team Lead - Onboarding, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Establishing a target state architecture for the Onboarding platform with the support of the Principal Architect and Head of EngineeringBeing a champion of and leading Continuous Delivery practices within the teamWorking incrementally towards delivery of the platform working closely with Product using customer data and insights to drive prioritisation.Establishing strong quality and automation practices and processesHands-on design and implementation of software patterns and architectureSynchronising with the Heads of Engineering and Principal Architect on developing best in class software solutionsWorking closely with our Platform teams to establish ways-of-working that enable and drive our business objectivesSetting clear expectations for team members; soliciting, synthesising, and delivering feedbackBuilding, supporting, and developing the Onboarding platform engineering teamCollaborating closely with product owners, delivery leads, and business analystsContributing to the improvement of software development lifecycle processesAbout you7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a Technical Lead role or equivalent in an agile setting.Expertise in TypeScript, React, and front-end development; proficiency in full-stack development with an array of languages.Hands-on experience with AWS.Comprehensive knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., TDD, BDD, mocking)Experience using automation tools to build robust, automated build/release/deploy processes (e.g. Github Actions)Solid grasp of software design patterns (e.g., SOLID, Strategy/Observer/Facade) and both object-oriented and functional programming.Understanding of containers and container orchestration (docker, ECS, EKS, docker-compose)Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), able to influence various levels of stakeholders.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with software engineering trends.Deep understanding of software development best practices, including object-oriented and functional programming, design patterns, etc.Experience in designing team and service interfaces.Proven capability to work with remote, global teams.Self-driven, proactive, and tech-savvy.Why you will enjoy working with usCompetitive salary structure including company bonus schemeGenuinely collaborative and friendly cultureFlexible and hybrid workingRemote working option - work from anywhere for up to 6 weeks per year, in addition to hybrid working as standardOngoing personal development & learning opportunities15 weeks paid primary carers parental leave & 4 weeks paid secondary carers leave3 paid volunteering days per year & Workplace Giving ProgramFrequent events and celebrations including a standard weekly socialBeautifully renovated large office at Collins Square - 727 Collins Street, MelbourneBest in class end of trip facilities including bicycle parking, change rooms & showersA full stocked kitchen, onsite coffee machines with locally sourced coffee beans (this is Melbourne after all) and curated specialty teasAbout PepperstoneWe're a regulated online Forex and CFD trading platform.
