Finance Partner, Payments Simplification & Technology ModernisationAs the Finance Partner within the Group COO Finance team, you will be driving financial insight and analysis based on a deep understanding of the Payment, Simplification & Technology Modernisation business areas.
The purpose of the role is to be a member of the PS&TM Business teams to support and provide commercial financial leadership, guidance and support to the business including financial planning, financial control, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and advisory services.
In this Finance Partner role, you will: Support the BU Executives in partnership to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation/simplification benefits are achieved in a sustainable and coordinated manner.Deliver monthly reporting, understand the performance drivers and provide key reasons for variance from plan and prior reporting periods.Support the production of half yearly and annual reporting requirements by providing high quality commentary and meeting deadlines.Identify financial and non-financial performance trends through critical review and analysis and develop and recommend strategies to improve business performance.Create insights to assist the business in understanding plan changes and options to meet plan.Constructively challenge management's proposals and decisions in relation to the performance of the relevant Business Unit.Coach and develop Senior Associates to deliver above for the business and grow commercial acumen, risk and control management, and simplification capability of the Finance team.Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to constructively challenge management's proposals and decisions.Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting, and financial control roles.Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Business; CA/CPA preferable.Capability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and complex environment.Data and business intelligence skills, including advanced Excel skills and ideally some exposure to PowerBI.Previous experience in Payments, Deposits, and transactions is recognized.Strong process improvement capability in both identification and successful implementation of process re-engineering initiatives.A diverse and inclusive workplace works better for everyone.
