In the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade. In the role of data architect, you are responsible for designing, creating, and managing REWE Group Austria's data architecture. You are responsible for the development of data strategies (incl. You interpret and deliver impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps You define and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality and governance You manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement and ensure that the delivery of the project aligns with longer-term strategic roadmaps You lead and participates in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts across the Enterprise Architecture You evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and roles for data management, storage and analytics Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as data-mesh, cloud services (Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake) Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle Ability to assess traditional and modern data architecture components based on business needs Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate large volumes of complex information to senior management of various technical understandings You can express yourself well in German and English, both orally and in writing.
