**Job Description**:
Overview

Eurofins are seeking an experienced, dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director, who will develop and execute strategies to grow Eurofins presence in the Environmental Testing market in Austria. The individual will have a strong focus on commercial, operations and change management, with full P&L responsibility for a multi-million-euro business, hundreds of employees and several laboratories and sites across Austria.

Position & Objectives:

- Develop Eurofins Environmental business in Austria through a combination of organic growth and M&A with the objective to achieve significant annual growth while meeting agreed profit target objectives
- Leverage the existing multiple intercompany capabilities, along with integration of new acquisitions, to establish Eurofins as a market leader in Austria in the targeted market segments including: water, soil, air, chemicals, pollution
- Implement restructuring and change management across the organization to increase performance and transparency
- Set up customer centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress
- Lead the organic development of current locations, upgrading current sales and logistics sites with testing production capabilities
- Lead / take part in the marketing and sales process for environmental services in Austria. Regularly attend and lead meetings with key clients, at all levels and develop an in depth knowledge of customer requirements through regular meetings
- Improve operations efficiency at laboratories including adoption of latest technologies and push for automation when beneficial.
- Set up cross divisional communication and planning process in terms of testing assets optimization and joint foot print development
- Ensure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins business units are being actively pursued and developed.
- Define and participate with counterparts all over the world to global development or cost-sharing initiatives to improve local productivity and efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- Academic education (at least university Bachelor level) with very good grades is required. Masters or PhD degree highly preferred
- Minimum 7 years of successful experience in a leadership position
- At least 3 years of these with full P&L responsibility and proven financial success for a complex, multi-site business
- Proven ability to implement changes across a complex organization
- Proven success in developing & implementing a sales & business strategy in a growth-oriented business
- Hands-on process improvement experience, deployment of lean or 6 Sigma production systems
- Strong financial acumen, entrepreneurial, driven and ambitious
- Fluent in German and English
- Based in/open to relocate to Austria
