As the Director of Innovation for HID Extended Access Technologies (EAT) RFID Business Unit, you will be responsible for the innovation/incubation program for EAT RFID BU.

**As our Director of Innovation, you’ll support HID’s success by**:

- Managing the innovation/incubation program for EAT RFID which involves:

- Developing an innovation strategy and approach
- Ensuring organizational contribution and supporting aligning to business strategy
- Building and maintaining the innovation pipeline
- Developing an innovation information repository
- Monitoring, identifying and evaluating new technologies/standards/paradigms that may impact the industry
- Assisting in developing intellectual property in line with the EAT IP strategy
- Analysing & monitoring HID patent portfolio, and identifying monetization opportunities of key patents
- Building IP monetization business models and expand customer base with sales & business development teams
- Disseminating information on relevant technologies/standards
- Facilitating and running innovation workshops aligning to business strategy
- Creating innovation business cases and presents to the HID EAT RFID management team
- Building strategic partnerships/alliances to gather research and/or gather voice of customer
- Govern programs and collaborate with R&D to build proof of concepts to explore feasibility as well as develop and deploy prototypes for field trials and obtain direct market feedback
- Driving collaboration across different business areas within HID Global and Assa Abloy to accelerate the completion of select innovation projects
- Managing handover of innovation projects to product marketing for commercialization
- Monitoring and reporting on overall program health/status

- Technical background in Cloud/SaaS or RF/RFID technologies and up to date with recent technology advancements such as Mobile

- Strong deduction and problem-solving skills
- Experience within “Identity and access management”, “Biometrics”, “Access Control and Security” and/or “Internet of Things”

- International experience with understanding of cultural differences preferred
- Experienced in building a business case preferred
- Knowledge of the SAFe methodology for product development preferred

**Your Qualifications and Experience include**:

- BS Degree or equivalent real-life experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in similar position
- Fluent in the English language both written and spoken
