- **Job Purpose**:
To take responsibility as Banker for a number of important client relationships and to use these relationships to build long term momentum originating business across Citi’s entire product set.
This will be achieved by:
- Working closely with all of our product and risk partners to deliver the Citi platform and be the best for our clients
- Being viewed internally and externally by clients as a country-specific specialist and credit risk champion
- Being a strong team player and helping develop the junior talent
**Job Background**
The Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory business provides financial advisory services on a wide range of strategic transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and re-structuring) and capital-raising projects and debt financing projects, for corporate clients, financial institutions and governments worldwide. Our bankers work closely with our other business units to ensure client access to the full range of products and expertise within the organisation.
Our bankers are the Relationship Manager Financiers who build and grow our long-term relationship with these clients. They orchestrate the delivery of Citi's vast global product platform and develop integrated financing strategies, by acting as a primary point of contact through which our clients utilize our extensive capabilities around the world. Through these efforts, our bankers address our clients’ most complex global banking needs, helping them succeed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Take ownership and grow revenue from the portfolio of relationships - having helped dimension and budget the full opportunity
- Implement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued across the client base
- Market and execute deals using a coordinated approach to prospecting strategy with relevant Product and Banking Seniors
- Liaise with Citi’s network to develop internal and external relationships globally
- Lead credit, risk and capital discussions for the business, liaising closely with Risk and Global Capital Management teams
- Keep up-to-date on developments in the core product set to explore and refer opportunities
- Lead and/or support the deal teams in business development and/or execution activities

**Knowledge/Experience**:
- Demonstrate an in-depth country and broad product expertise
- Have marketed the full range of financing and transactional products to OECD clients, and been involved in their execution
- Have been responsible for multi-client coverage
- Have been responsible for meeting a budget on a portfolio of clients
**Skills**:
- Analytical - Assimilating new information quickly and relating it to the needs of the client base
- Pro activity - Identifying new business opportunities
- Organizational - Managing business across a large client portfolio with diverse client teams
- Verbal and Written - Communicating the detail of complex client relationship to a broad range of internal contacts
- Understanding of bank and client tolerances and negotiate to satisfy both
**Qualifications**:
- Corporate Banking background gained from a reputable firm where you will have gained first class training and development as a banker
- Master’s Degree in related discipline would be advantageous

- Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to create and sustain good personal contacts within the client group, balancing client requirements and Citi’s priorities. Confident in meeting clients at a senior level.
