**Your team’s dynamic**:
We are looking to hire an experienced privacy and cybersecurity lawyer to join our global Legal Department to help Genetec navigate the ever-evolving privacy and cybersecurity landscape in a smart and pragmatic manner, ensuring regulatory compliance, enabling responsible innovation, and honouring the trust put in us by our customers, partners, and colleagues.

You will have the opportunity to act as a global leader for all privacy and data protection efforts, including working closely with various teams on innovative projects and cutting-edge technologies (including analytics, generative AI, and others). You will play an important role in our security and data protection compliance practices.

**What your day will look like**:

While no day is the same, in this role, you will be responsible for working with all Genetec teams and departments to accompany them with their privacy and data protection question. This means that you will work closely:

- with our Security team on our cyber security initiatives, incident management, and ISMS compliance efforts
- with our Product teams on our innovations and responsible use of data
- with our HR teams to provide assurances to our colleagues and job applicants
- with our Sales teams on address customer and partner questions and concerns
- with our Marketing teams on digital marketing initiatives (including tracking technologies, etc.)
- and, of course, with the members of our fun and friendly Legal Department team on team projects

**More about you**:

- We are only looking for smart, passionate, and curious people who are eager to learn, contribute and have fun in the process
- High-quality spoken and written proficiency in English is required. Mastery of another language is considered an important asset.

**Great if you have**:

- Knowledge and understanding of software / cloud technologies in general
- Knowledge and understanding of the software / cloud technology industry, including practices, legal frameworks, etc.
- Strong business sense and judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work efficiently in a team
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to work within tight deadlines and dealing with competing priorities
