Job Purpose: - Manage and supervise Emirates pricing positioning in all customer segments for the Austrian market to achieve, maximize and exceed revenue, yield and passenger targets by negotiating fares and RBD availability with Head Office Pricing and Yield Management. - Manage and supervise the Trade communication and update B2T site (travel policy, commercial rules, processes, disruptions, re-routings, etc.) - Keep abreast of industry and market place, pricing and products, particularly in respect of EK relevant competitors for each destination. Provide regular market place and competitor analysis, including market shares by route, BSP analysis and flown reports. - Anticipate competitor activities; identify threats and opportunities for Emirates in Austria by monitoring market trends and initiate sales strategies in a timely manner to outmaneuver competitors. Make recommendations which require commercial strategy policy changes e.g. alterations to agency commission levels etc. - Coordinate E-Commerce activities with E-Commerce Manager and jointly take full responsibility for the Austrian online sales target (EOL and OTAs). - Manage Field marketing / communication in line with allocated budgets both for trade and direct customers / partners. Find partners and develop local partnerships in order to increase business with direct customers (hotel chains, rent-a-car companies, foreign tourist offices). - Animate locally Emirates Skywards program and establish an action plan to develop Skywards generated revenue in coordination with Emirates Skywards Head Office. Target specifically our top Emirates Skywards members for a better knowledge of their expectations and behaviors;
- Overall supervision of the Customer Sales & Service Departments ensuring all reservations and ticketing policies/procedures are properly implemented in order to maintain customer satisfaction and increase sales. - Take on responsibility to handle dedicated sales accounts in coordination with the Sales and Country Manager. Represent Emirates at B2B and B2C events, organize and conduct promotional sales activities, conduct webinars and product trainings. - Supervise the operational sales handling of groups both in product and procedural administration, trouble shoot commercial negotiations with Head Office Pricing, Yield Management, Reservations and the clients. Take full responsibility for the Austrian group sales target. - Troubleshoot difficult customer sales situations to the Company’s commercial advantage; work closely with the Sales manager in order to enforce best “Sales Practice”. Ensure all support departments work to the one objective of exceeding the Austrian revenue and yield targets. Where necessary make decisions of an urgent commercial nature on behalf of absent line Sales Manager. - Prepare monthly and annual sales and marketing reports, business plans and budgets in coordination with Sales and Country Manager. - Manage and organize the Business Intelligence of the market - business trends, monthly sales results based on KPIs, BSP and forecast analysis, Competitor analysis and Skywards DB analysis.
Qualifications & Experience: - Educated to Degree level preferably in Economics or Travel - Experience in all aspects of the Austrian airline sales or Travel Agency business - Experience in managing a team and with excellent team management skills - Thorough knowledge of Emirates Groups’ products and services - Excellent planning and organizational skills - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint - Fluent in both spoken and written German and English.
