Borealis is re-inventing for more sustainable living and our Strategy & Group Development department in Vienna is ensuring that we are working towards this goal every day. Since our current Sr Analyst got promoted into a new role within Borealis, we are looking for a new colleague to join us

In this role you will perform financial and non-financial analysis of projects and companies and provide recommendations for our senior management. This includes the modeling and simulation for various options taking into account the full range of criteria and needs of Borealis and or owners as well as constraints from external parties. Furthermore you will provide adequate advice based on those simulations in order to maximize the sustainability - people, planet, profit - of the company.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Provide reports and presentations to senior management on assigned topics as decision base
- Contribute to Group strategy process with qualitative and quantitative analyses and selective project work
- Within a high financial and business complexity, assess implications of decisions on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow and non-financial parameters and provide support to optimise
- Provide expert opinion to senior management
- Identify sources of information and evaluate available information relevant for new venture opportunities
- Participate in project teams and perform assigned tasks within the scope of the project
- Perform assigned facilitator role in external and internal meetings
- Project leadership of and participation in cross-functional improvement projects
- Selective contribution to Business Group strategy
- Deliver or contribute to cross-functional or group-wide tasks on behalf of S&GD (e.g. Borealis induction course, Business Support and HR projects)

**About you**:
You have a deep understanding of the petrochemical industry which includes key drivers, long-term trends and major players on the market. Thanks to your first hand working experience of at least 7 - 10 years in a relevant position, you do know how to turn qualitative and quantitative data in sound storylines and recommendations for executive levels, owners and external partners. You have a Masters degree in business economics, MBA or equivalent and high financial literacy. Thanks to your excellent intercultural communication skills and full fluency in English (written and spoken), you can easily build efficient working relationships. While we consider excellent knowledge of Excel and Power-BI a must, any additional IT-skills are considered a plus (e.g. Python).

We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement, reflecting your competencies and experience, starting at EUR 100.000 annual gross salary and are willing to pay considerably more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
