In this role you will be responsible to work with customers to ensure our products and systems provide maximum performance and our service teams solve a wide variety of key industrial challenges, increase productivity and reliability of our customer, lengthen product life span and improve safety. As Global Service Manager for the complete B&R Service offering, you will participate in refreshing and implementing our service strategy. You will work with the entire B&R organization to expand the offering in service sales, lead projects to develop new growth levers and implement selected initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, you will optimize and complement the service portfolio ensuring profitable growth and productivity as well as quality and customer satisfaction. The key to success is to further develop the global business opportunities and to maintain a broad network of internal and external stakeholders across countries, divisions, and markets. We are looking for a talent that would like to focus on creating a global strategic service sales approach and take the next career step. The role will be based in Europe with approx. 50% travel.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Follow and understand global standards, market and customer requirements and their impact on the service portfolio. Conduct evaluations of market size and trends, competitor analyses including identification of product/service solutions gaps and evaluating B&R's position and strategy.
- Define a clear roadmap for the division’s global service business respecting different segments and aligned with our internal stakeholders such as R&D, product management, local sales and project teams for the installed base.
- Further develop and implement service strategies for profitable growth including proactively supporting alternative business scenarios in cooperation with global sales teams to identify customer values.
- Evaluate and share relevant information on installed base data, sales leads, and market trends with account teams to identify customer values.
- Foster close collaboration within the company across different functions like Marketing and Sales, Product Management, Operations as well as R&D and also across ABB’s divisions aimed at the full exploitation of potential and use of synergies.
- Responsible for feedback on sales development, distribution of resources for service sales activities and the current status of the market.
- Prepare analytical and performance reports as required for management and board purposes.
- Providing sales support, participating in customer meetings and attending trade shows as well as supporting new service launches and marketing programs.

**Your background**:

- Sound technical background in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics and Software Development
- More than 10 years’ experience in a strategic service / senior sales role in an international sales environment
- Experience in service strategy, product management and successful implementation of those
- Knowledge of automation products service business and general industry and product knowhow in the automation market for machine builders is essential.
- Solid competence in Industrial Automation systems like PLCs, motors, drives, motion control and robotics solutions are are an added advantage
- Experience and knowledge of how to create customer value from services
- Strategic thinking, determination and persistence
- Ability to work across sales units, understanding the differences and leveraging the synergies
- Fluent in English, additional languages are an added advantage
- Flexibility to travel up to 50%
