**Position overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

Guide chemists and technicians on resin synthesis in the laboratory and during the upscaling process
Give internal and external technical presentations
- Interface with external cooperation partners in academia and industry
- Secure intellectual property and keep track of the IP landscape in relevant fields
- Maintain safe and regulatory compliant laboratory work environment in accordance to Good Laboratory Practice and through proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Lead and develop the laboratory team by coaching, providing trainings, setting goals, monitoring and appraising performance

**Required skills and experience**:

- Experience in the area of polymer synthesis or coatings formulation
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Results oriented personality
- Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate product development project teams
- Very good communication skills
- Active reader of relevant scientific literature as well as patent literature
- Fluent in English (writing and speaking) and able to communicate in German

**Qualifications**:

- PhD in synthetic Chemistry, preferably Polymer Chemistry

Annual gross salary of € 60.000;
