Our research field **Dependable Systems Engineering (DSE)** within the **Competence Unit “Security and Communication Technologies”**is working on developing methodologies, tools and standards for **increasing, verifying and validating the dependability of software and systems** - during conception, development, certification and operation. Additionally, we also focus on **risk management**, dealing with dependencies within and between critical infrastructures, that can have an impact on functionality or availability of certain components.
INTERNSHIP “FULL-STACK DEVELOPMENT FOR RISK MANAGEMENT”
CENTER FOR DIGITAL SAFETY & SECURITY
- With your support, we will work on the **development of a web-based risk management tool**to analyse cascading effects in critical infrastructures. The tool helps to model dependencies within and between critical infrastructures and identify and evaluate cascading effects.
- You will **learn how to conduct research** as well as how to **perform implementation** within a team.
- You will **gain experience in**the** development** and use of **REST APIs, database management and frontend-development**.
- You support us in **national and international projects** and get exciting insights into our technological environment.
- You will have not only the opportunity to **discuss your work** experiences and results **with experienced scientific peers**, but also to connect with other bachelor’s, master’s or PhD students.
**Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner**:
- You are studying in the field of Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering
- You have good programming skills in one or more languages, preferably in Typescript/JavaScript, Angular and Node.js
- Interest to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate on different topics
- Good verbal and written English and German skills
**What to expect**:
- **Duration of the internship**: minimum 2 months
- **Start date**: between April and September 2025 - However there is some flexibility concerning the start-date A remuneration of EUR 1.415,
