Many of these projects, which include new molecular entities as well as additional indications and different formulations for marketed products, are for medicines that could significantly advance treatment standards for patients worldwide.**Your key responsibilities**: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Independently manage the key tasks for our projects (e.g. release, stability studies, validation and transfer activities) - Write protocols, scientific reports, lab procedures and provide ready-to-submit documents intended for submissions (e.g. release or stability documents, transfer reports) - Approve GMP documents and test records as well as investigate quality events within the project (e.g. deviations, changes, out-of-specifications events) - Support lab team in case of troubleshooting of existing methods, processes, or solve problems of higher complexity within the project **Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion**: - Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve._ **Minimum requirements** **What you’ll bring to the role**: **Essential**: - Master Degree in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or similar with at least 4 years strong relevant industry experience or PhD in relevant field or equivalent and 2+ years of work experience within the pharmaceutical industry - Proficiency in English and German is beneficial - Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical and chemical analytics, QC or equivalent - Proven experience within an GMP environment - Good theoretical and scientific knowledge in the area of expertise (like HPLC, CE) - Flexible, pragmatic and goal-orientated working style and scientific way of thinking - Team-oriented, open mindset **Desirable requirements**: - A personality with a can-do mentality and the ability to adopt to change with strong communication across organizational interfaces - Ability to work with and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment - Presentation skills **Why Novartis?** 766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we are proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people’s lives. - We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
