Knorr-Bremse Group is the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems and supplier of additional sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Wouldn’t it be great to have the optimum supply of materials placed in your trusted hands? For our location in Mödling we are looking for a Technical Buyer (f/m/d).
YOUR TASKS
PURCHASING... of new and existing parts for a specific supplier and product portfolio
SUPPLIER SELECTION... (competitiveness, technical feasibility, capacity)
NEGOTIATION... of contracts, prices and logistic conditions under TCO aspects
SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT... price negotiations, framework agreements, change management, KPIs
CREATION... local commodity group strategies in coordination with commodity management and central purchasing
SUPPORT... engineering in component selection, make-or-buy decisions
IDENTIFICATION... and planning of savings projects in close coordination with commodity management
SHAPING... the mobility of the future
YOUR PROFILE
Technical education, HTL, FH, TU or technically skilled long-term experience
Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing is an advantage
Very good knowledge of English (business fluent) - any other language an advantage
Enjoy negotiating and developing purchasing strategies
SAP MM/HANA an advantage
Strong communication, decision-making and assertiveness skills as well as a results-oriented way of working
Willingness to travel (max. 10%)
