Construction and Real Estate Internal Auditor

As part of the international Erste Group, we are an attractive employer who offers interesting career opportunities.- The audit department Markets and Central Functions is responsible for performing audits in Erste Group Bank AG, its subsidiaries, and Austrian legal entities part of the Erste Group. A second responsibility is the coordination of audit activities within Erste Group for the audit area of responsibility. To strengthen our team, we are searching for an auditor with previous experience or insight in Construction and Real estate business. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate technical results to business stakeholders are essential.- Your Tasks- Perform audits in Erste Group subsidiaries that are set up for specific business in Real Estate and Construction industries
- Perform audits in participations management, asset management, project management, facility management etc.
- During the audit work you will be responsible to- develop or tailor audit programs based on common audit standards,
- organize fieldwork and carry out test of controls and on-site review
- prepare audit reports and summarize audit findings
- drafting and reconciliation of controls recommendations
- To support audit activities of colleagues in different audit units on a variety of different banking business processes
- You will perform audits together with auditor colleagues as part of the Group audit team in Austria as well as in cooperation with colleagues in our CEE subsidiaries.
- You will help coordinating audit activities in audit departments of Erste subsidiaries in CEE countries.- Your Background- Educational background in construction/ architecture/ project management/ engineering/ accounting and controlling/ property management
- Experience as internal auditor in real estate and construction industry; alternatively experience in cost controlling/ project management/ risk evaluations/ real estate valuations
- Experience in an accounting & audit / consultancy company is of advantage
- Assertiveness, problem solving skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills, analytical and structured thinking, lateral thinking, cultural diversity
- Sense of responsibility and analytical approach to work
- Willingness to continuously learn and improve your knowledge on both internal audit and banking topics. Willingness to gain certifications relating to audit (e.g., CIA).
- Willingness to travel to external locations and CEE locations on a case-by-case basis

- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 44.567,04 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person
