**To support our operations team we are searching for a Head of Health and Safety (East) for immediate appointment**:
**Head of Health and Safety (East) (f/m/d)**

Your Tasks
- Develop the Wienerberger Programme for the health & safety function at a corporate level
- Create and employ a way of working which supports local organisational acceptance and accountability for H&S.
- Develop a robust and sustainable health & safety culture across multiple countries, whilst overcoming cultural and behavioural challenges.
- Review and advise local organisations’ CAPEX & OPEX budget spend to ensure high risk is prioritised.
- Create and continuously develop a group-wide strategy (roadmap) for health & safety
- Direct and support a larger cross-functional team across multiple countries & regions to achieve the health & safety business goals within the framework of operational excellence.
- Act as the primary contact for the Senior Leadership Team within the regional organisations to provide recommendations to identified risks, improvement opportunities and/or new prevention measures.
- Effectively support in event management such as accidents, incidents or significant occurrences via effective investigations and remedial actions required (i.e. root cause analysis).
- Direct a team of health & safety professionals compromising of direct reports, subregional managers, and safety advisors throughout the required regional setups.
- Act as a company advocate to promote ‘Safety First’ throughout the organisation via a range of initiatives related to culture & behaviour
- Coordinate activities and communication (both internally & externally) related to good practice or identified improvements in overall performance.
- Act as a primary contact for stakeholders and additional company representatives (i.e. European Works Council, Local Unions, and Industry Associations)

Your Profile
- Extensive knowledge and proven background within a manufacturing and/or construction environment.
- Academic background in relevant field (Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, Environment.)
- Globally recognized H&S qualification (such as NEBOSH Diploma or similar)
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, established interpersonal skills with effective communication
- Previous line management responsibilities
- Ability to travel (min 25%) and interact with team members in various time zones
- Deep knowledge regarding H&S regulations, laws, standards and industrial best practice
- Managing multi culture teams with direct and indirect lines
- Experience in Change management
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
- Very strong communication skills

Our Offer

An attractive workplace in a dynamic environment with development opportunities of an internationally acting group is awaiting you. The monthly gross salary amounts to aprox. € 5.800;
- gross for a local contract. Of course we will offer market conform remuneration depending on experience and qualification, besides attractive employee benefits.
