**A Day in the Life**

We offer you a position where you will develop and support the Medtronic activities with our accounts for all Cranial/Spinal and Neurosurgery Technologies we offer with our PME-portfolio:
Power-tools / high-speed drills (MIDAS-REX), Neuro-Monitoring-Equipment (NIM Eclipse), Energy products (AEX-portfolio), and our Shunt-business in the defined sales territory of Austria.

Additionally, you will become the new expert in Cranial procedures and therapies for Hydrocephalus and Traumatology, being able to train and support surgeons and nurses to use our new products and therapies.

**Main tasks/responsibilities**

Selling and account support
- Assigned geographic region „Austria “.
- Providing clinical case support in OR to surgeons & nursing staff in the operating theatre.
- Analyses the market, develops an effective territory/account sales strategy and presents the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
- Acquires, maintains, and develops new and existing customers in this territory.
- Identifies and addresses all key decision-makers (clinical, administrative/economic) key opinion leaders, and key referrals in all accounts and reports on them to the Country Sales Manager Spinal & Cranial Technologies (CST) regularly.
- Cooperates closely with Neurosurgical, Trauma, and Orthopedic Departments and stakeholders.
- Fosters clinical networks and develops referral structures.
- Further develops existing accounts into new therapies and develops entirely new accounts.
- Builds strong and long-lasting business relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
- Supports and/or leads high speed-drills, neuro-monitoring, and advanced HF-surgery development projects.
- Performs all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy).
- Attends and participates in key professional congresses and events as required.
- In conjunction with other members of the team, plans sales coverage/resources in the most effectively and and economically. Above average flexibility in working hours/schedule.
- Negotiate contracts and terms, close deals.
- Interfaces with Marketing, Therapy Sales Specialists Spine, Account Sales Representatives, GPO managers, and IHS (Integrated Hospital Solutions) specialists.
- Implements, promotes, and supports the use of our new Cranial Neuronavigation therapies.

Internal and administrative
- Reports all account, market, and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion.
- Plans and prepares sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments.
- Carries out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner, (i.e. boot stock reports, stock movement forms etc.). Provides minimum, but regular activity report to sales manager. Attends all required regional and national meetings.

For applicants in Austria: yearly salary starts from 60.000 €, with the willingness to overpay according to market values depending on professional qualifications and experience.

**Must Haves**
- Multiple years of successful sales experience, ideally in the medical device industry/life-science/pharma environment.
- High relationship building skills on department chief level.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English and German.
- Be a therapy expert in at least one of the relevant areas.
- Team player attitude and ability to cooperate within a team.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Full clean driver's license.
- Computer literacy.
- Located in Austria.

**Nice to Haves**
- Clinical and/or technical background.
- Key Account Management skills (KAM).
- General product and therapy knowledge of the defined product scope.
- Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses, and hospital technicians.
- Experience in the OR environment.
